Government Subsidies

Yeah... So I'm thinking... Why should large corporations get so many government subsidies, lay off their workers, and take big bonuses while small businesses work hard to make a profit, hire and reasonably pay as many employees as they can afford, and create jobs in the United States without subsidies? HUH! HUH! HUH!! Well... my small business could use a subsidy! Entrepreneurs... How bout yours!?

Did Dr. Murray beat Michael Jackson case before trial?

Michael Jackson had so much Propofol in his body that he could have undergone a major operation at the time of his death. Propofol kills when given in excess by taking away your desire to gasp for breath while under its influence. The overdosed person simply goes to sleep and then dies and may do so even with their eyes open. This is why Michael died with his mouth and eyes open with a look of utter shock on his face.

The rumor, or myth, circulating that suggests Michael injected himself with Propofol is pure nonsense; and frankly, anyone who takes out time to consider the facts about the drug will easily recognize this. All necessary to separate myth from fact here is to understand that a single injection of Propofol, in a vial the size as was available to Michael, would have knocked him out had he self-injected. This means that he would not have been able to inject himself a second time because the first injection would have rendered it impossible for him to do so by putting him to sleep. If asleep, and unable to inject himself a second time, Michael would not have had so much Propofol in his blood; and thus, might not have died.

In furtherance, patients undergoing propofol injections feel extreme pain unless a doctor, or anesthesiologist, first, or simultaneously, administers a dose of lidocaine. Had Michael injected himself, the pain would have been so excrutiating that he would have screamed out at the top of his lungs. His yell would have hastened Dr. Murray, as well as anyone else in the house hearing Michael's screams, zipping into the room to see what was happening.

Dr. Conrad Murray could have been charged with second degree murder since Michael's death occurred in California. What is more is that, ironically, a case of second degree murder may have been easier for the prosecution to prove than the charge of involuntary manslaughter. In furtherance, a second degree murder conviction could have earned the doctor a life sentence. Instead of facing a life sentence, however, if convicted of second degree murder, Murray well get, at most, four years of imprisonment! Four years!

What could be worse is that if convicted of second degree murder, even if he gets a sentence of four years in prison, Dr. Murray could potentially get probation; and even if he does not get probation, he could still get out of prison in less than four years time.

Considering all of these facts, it seems quite apparent that Dr. Conrad Murray may very well have beat the case against him, over Michael Jackson's death, before the trial. Since the trial is only just begun, there is no telling, at this time, just how much he may have overcome. How much he will actually get away with for his role in the premature loss of life, of possibly the greatest entertainer the world has ever known, is yet to be seen. Anyone, who cares about justice should be outraged over this case.

Some say that Dr. Murray was simply negligent. I say that, based on the fact that he placed a bottle of Propofol in a saline IV unit shows that he was more than just negligent. He committed a wrongful act that lead to the death of Michael Jackson - a wrongful act for which he will pay little if anything at all.

What's your take?
